Important!

As of January 1, 2023, the requirements of the State Tax Inspectorate’s i.EKA project apply to cash register users.

It becomes mandatory to submit cash register receipt data to the new Tax Authority system at least once every 72 hours.

Who do these changes apply to?

As of January 1, 2023

Merchants using computer cash registers with revenues exceeding €300,000 in 2021.
 

As of November 1, 2023

Merchants using electronic cash registers with revenues exceeding €300,000 in 2021.
 

As of May 1, 2024

Merchants using electronic cash registers that were removed from the approved EKA model list in 2019.

From May 1, 2025

All business representatives.
 

The i.EKA solution will replace the fiscal block—signing and transmitting encrypted cash register data to the new Tax Authority system.

About the Solution

Compatibility
The solution architecture is compatible with Windows, iOS, Android, and Linux devices.
Data Transmission Module
This software component uses an internet connection to transmit all transaction data from the cash register to the Tax Authority system.
Security Module
This physical component connects to the cash register's USB port. It is designed to identify the transmitted data, verify its authenticity, and sign it before transmission to the Tax Authority system.
 
Data Transmission
Data can be transmitted to tax authorities in real time or accumulated and transmitted periodically, once every 24 hours.
Payment Terminal
We will provide the option to install security modules in designated banking payment terminals.
Virtual Security Module
The virtual security module is installed on a server. It performs the same functions as the security module installed in the cash register.

How to Prepare Properly?

  • Contract Signing

    All companies that sign contracts for the implementation of the i.EKA project with UAB "Universalios valdymo sistemos" will be able to continue their operations without interruption and maintain their usual activities.

  • Implementation Plan

    Upon signing the contract with UAB "Universalios valdymo sistemos," we will provide a project implementation plan to fully prepare your retail location for the upcoming changes within the required timelines.

  • Project Start

    The i.EKA solution—cryptographic security and data transmission modules—will be installed in your cash registers, enabling you to comply with the new tax obligations.
